Their checkered covers are made to withstand pedestrian traffic. The flanges and covers are interchangeable to permit replacement without disturbing the box or conduit system. They serve as intermediate pulling and splicing points in a conduit system. They are ideal for use to protect personnel against accidental contact with enclosed electrical devices or connections and to protect the enclosed devices or connections against external conditions. These weatherproof, cast iron boxes are ideal for use in indoor or outdoor environments.
