UHP Springless Tied Diaphragm Low Pressure(1/4” or 1/2”)

The DRA500 series is a springless , VCR type Pressure Reducing Regulator developed to be suitable for gas cabinets for ultra-high purity semiconductor manufacturing, special gas lines, valve manifold boxes, and other laboratories.

★ High flow product, 1/4″ Cv= 0.06 or 0.5, 1/2″ Cv=0.5.
★ The body uses STS 316L or 316L VAR (double melt) and electrolytic polishing (EP) treatment, so it is more suitable for corrosive gas environment.
★ Springless type: The “Wave Spring (Drastar Patent #10-1191514)” used instead of the existing spring suppresses the generation of foreign substances that may occur in the spring itself due to fatigue from long-term use, so ultra-high purity and cleaning are required. suitable for the field.
★ As a Tied-diaphragm type, the DRA500 series provides the highest level of safety by preventing leakage from any foreign substances on the valve seat and preventing diaphragm rupture due to toxic, ignitable, and highly corrosive gases.
★ Metal-to-metal sealing on the diaphragm and body improves leak prevention.
★ Surface treatment: Ultra-precise treatment with EP 10Ra or 5Ra microinch (0.25 or 0.13 micrometer) grade.
★ Inlet pressure is 3500 psig (241 bar), 2200 psig (151 bar) or 600 psig (42 bar) and outlet pressure is 5 psig (0.3 bar) up to 150 psig (10.3 bar) depending on model.
★ All processes such as welding, assembly, testing and cleaning are performed in 100-class and 10-class clean rooms.

★ DRA500 series offers high flow with Cv = 0.5 at 1/4″ and Cv=0.5 at 1/2”.
★ Inboard Leak Rate to <1 x 10-9 atm cc/sec Helium available.
★ Body is made of 316L or VAR (double melt) Stainless Steel with Electropolish to be applicable for corrosive gases.
★ Diaphragm: STS 316L or Hastelloy.
★ Spring-less type: “wave spring” (DRASTAR patent #10-1191514) used for conventional spring keeps down possible particle generation by the spring itself due to fatigue from long-time use and so it is suitable for applications where ultra high purity and cleaning is needed.
★ Metal to metal diaphragm to body sealing for high leak integrity,
★ E.P. up to 10Ra or 5Ra microinch(0.25 or 0.13 micrometer) to prevent from particle generation.
★ As tied-diaphragm type, DRA500 series offers supreme safety by preventing leaks notwithstanding any particle generation on the valve sheet and protecting the rupture of diaphragm from toxic, pyrophoric, or corrosive gases.
★ Inlet pressures are 3500psig(241bar), 2200psig(151bar) or 600psig(42bar) with outlet pressures from 5psig (0.3bar) up to 150psig (10.3bar).
★ Design proof pressure: 150% of maximum rated
★ All works of welding, assembly, test, and cleaning are done in 100-class& 10-class clean room.
★ Decaying Inlet Characteristic: 1.2 psig /100 psig.

※ It is more convenient to use by applying our push and lock control knob (our patent # 10-1370537), which completely solves the phenomenon of minute fluctuations in the initial pressure setting value due to gas line or external micro-vibration during use. . Pressing the adjustment knob (lock) completely prevents the pressure setting value from changing, and pulling the knob forward (unlocking) allows you to freely set the desired pressure again.
